I'd be happy to give Pakalani another shot and then try and find a big lump of a back that can play wing or centre.

And a tighthead.

And a cherry on the top would be a top class lock. Attwood would do very nicely.

Attwood world class really? Do agree he would be decent for us.

Like others I'm not sure about the signing of Mafi, I feel like if we were to sign an ex-Tigers backrower back i'd much prefer we got Matera, he's still young and has the "dog" that we desperately need, he has also recently been captain of the Jaguares

I agree that Matera would have been a great signing at 6 and, if SC is to be believed, we tried hard to get him a couple of years ago and subsequently - "couldn't agree terms". As far as Mafi is concerned, my understanding is he's seen as a 4/5 - no longer as a 6.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

With Argentina relaxing their rules about where players are playing their rugby I feel like we should give it another shot, at lock we need an enforcer (hopefully Spencer can fill that role) or a top class lineout specialist and I don't feel like Mafi helps much in either of those areas, with all that said if Mafi can find his 2012 form then he'll be a good signing

I do share other people’s sentiment that Mafi might be not the player he once was but he could have the same impact that Brad Thorn/de Villiers had in previous seasons behind the scenes as well as he could really help the development of Mapapalangi.

Mafi/Spencer are loads better as a lock pairing than what we currently have. We have all criticised the second rows this season so glad we are bringing in some better players.

Plus Mafi can cover 6. Matera would be a great signing also. Would waltz into the Tigers starting 15 at 6, quality international standard backrower.

Even if he isn’t, still probably an upgrade on Fitzgerald and Barrow. The highlights of him from France show that he hasn’t lost any of his pace and he still knows how to score some tries.

Mafi as a signing on paper makes alot of sense IMO.
Plays 4,5,6,8 at both Top 14 level and International level.

Speaking of Argentine players wouldn't mind either centres de la Fuente or Orlando.
Matera would be a great signing although interested to see how Reffell develops.
