Toomua is a class player but I can't see him playing 10 and 12!

Now that we are out of the picture regarding the Anglo/Welsh cup we must concentrate and Focus our minds on achieving at least 6th place in the Aviva premiership although we could finish 7th and be involved in a play off for the last qualifying place for Europe Champions cup for next season, It would be lovely though if we could haul ourselves up the league table to finish 4th.

Oh yeah, sorry about that I’d have Owen and Tuilagi as the centre comboLE18 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 7:53 pmToomua cannot play 10 and 12 at same time!JP14 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 7:48 pm Hopefully this will be the team against Glaws:

I don't quite know how you can have an issue with Joe Ford and state that Fred T did alright yesterday!JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 6:42 amOh yeah, sorry about that I’d have Owen and Tuilagi as the centre comboLE18 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 7:53 pmToomua cannot play 10 and 12 at same time!JP14 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 7:48 pm Hopefully this will be the team against Glaws:

I think maybe you are getting mixed up JP!
If the ball wasn't quite so :censored: from useless gain line forwards then maybe Joe Ford could do a bit better what he was brought in for which is to give slightly quicker ball to Toomua to make the big decisions, instead of having to kick it away so much that is!

Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
I didn't watch the game yesterday, but from what I heard, Fred was prominent in the buildup in the 1st or 2nd try, I know the members on this forum don't like Fred Jr because he was in the academy instead of those from Oakham or Market Harborough, I can see the potential in him he just needs to carry at a lower height and carry with a bit more thrust (but that's a confidence thing which will grow with time)BFG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:31 amI don't quite know how you can have an issue with Joe Ford and state that Fred T did alright yesterday!

Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
Has Joe Ford play inside Toomua yet? It worked well during pre-season so maybe having someone with the class of Toomua will raise his game? (I hope).
Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
That thrust isn't going to happen in my opinion, it just isn't there as is the case with several others!JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:43 amI didn't watch the game yesterday, but from what I heard, Fred was prominent in the buildup in the 1st or 2nd try, I know the members on this forum don't like Fred Jr because he was in the academy instead of those from Oakham or Market Harborough, I can see the potential in him he just needs to carry at a lower height and carry with a bit more thrust (but that's a confidence thing which will grow with time)BFG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:31 amI don't quite know how you can have an issue with Joe Ford and state that Fred T did alright yesterday!

Sure they can try and bully but once that has gone and the legs with it then there is nothing left!
The first few metres are the most important, see Simmons for England yesterday, or Willis for Wasps!
The Wasps starting props had more thrust than Fred!
Presently we could have Sexton, Farrell and Te'o at 10,12 and 13 and they'd still struggle!
Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
If we lose this then a top 4 finish will all but be off the cards as Gloucester are 4th. The top 6 might still be possible though.

Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!
I dont know if this is a snide remark about me because I can help with Oakham school information, but just to be clear I don't think I have ever posted about Freddie Junior, my grandson plays 12, and my friends son Cameron plays at 4, so what are you on about? Incidentally the commentators made disparaging comments about Fred's fitness levels, saying he was almost done by half time.JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:43 amI didn't watch the game yesterday, but from what I heard, Fred was prominent in the buildup in the 1st or 2nd try, I know the members on this forum don't like Fred Jr because he was in the academy instead of those from Oakham or Market Harborough, I can see the potential in him he just needs to carry at a lower height and carry with a bit more thrust (but that's a confidence thing which will grow with time)BFG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:31 amI don't quite know how you can have an issue with Joe Ford and state that Fred T did alright yesterday!
