No, Toomua would be a good choice, he seems a decent bloke, I think he could build a rapport with the ref and then be able to speak to the team who I think will listen to him!

If it were just about being a good bloke then we should stick with Tom but heaven alone knows where his head is right now. But it isnt just about that.
May be Toomua has it in him - but he's our most effective defence organiser and attack maker, and we dont want to loose that - he cant do that alongside being captain, its too much.

In addition to 4-7 being weak there's this irritating shuffling of the pack. Go back to the heyday of the Tigers pack and you'll see that they were a unit that had continuity for seasons. Wig, Cockers, Garforth, Johnno, Kay, Moody, Back, Corry. Throw Gussie, two Deacons, Johnson Junior into that mix and you have leadership, talent depth and stability. Now we have a different team weekly.
