Not a ridiculous proposition. If there is an area we are quite well off then it is on the wings and Thompstone could certainly be looking towards the end of his career. If he was offered a better deal at this point in his career elsewhere it would be hard to blame him, particularly a local one like Wasps.

Definitely take that currently, especially if Cordero does join the team. We are desperate for a forward to get us on the front foot which Guy fits, was the in form no.8 a couple of seasons ago.

For the first half a season last year, Guy Thompson definitely isn't the answer but he would make an awesome super sub type who can cover 6, 7 and 8 competently

Tigers allegedly in the mix to sign wasps back row Guy Thompson.

Wasps winger Bassett linked to Northampton (north going west back to Wales) so wasps looking for replacement wing (maybe).

Rugbyflanker throwing in that his mate has opined that Thompstone is a makeweight in our deal to get Thompson.

Why would we need a makeweight in a deal for a guy coming off contract?? Unless it's just some salary cap jiggling, where we see wing as well stocked and freeing up a wage there allows us to add elsewhere. May, Malouf, Holmes as genuine wingers, with Veianu, Pakalani and potentially Cordero all able to play wing or Fullback, 6 players for 3 shirts.
