Howley was the reason for defeat and that Try wasn't down to him. Should have used Schmidt

I think its stretching credibility to suggest that a 0 - 3 series win over the AB was on the cards - but Gatland and Howley have been holding Wales back for years now - and that I think everyone knew.

The reality is that the Lions had the pick of the best players in the British Isles and given enough time and coaching that should be enough. Naturally time is limited.

Clearly we all have our own opinions on whether the picks were the best or not but it's not often that the players make such bold statements so soon after abut the coaching. He probably chose to hold back on whether the selections were the best.
