No mention of the back line of the scrum Noddy
Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Sounds like Evans at 7 according to MoC. Id go Hamilton at 6, Kalamofoni at 8 and Williams and Barrow in the second row. Croft and Mapapalangi on the bench.
Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Kalamofoni seems to be getting a hard time by some on this forum, remember he's new to the club, had been out injured for some time, and is playing under a head coach that is also new to the club. Hamilton really grew into the No 8 role last season after a mediocre start. Kalamofoni had a pretty good pre-season, yes he's not quite the live wire Hamilton is but I'm sure we'll see his performances improve game by game.

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Agree with the above, given the lack of quality no.8s in the market to get, I've no doubt that Kalamafoni will prove to Ben a shrewd signing. As the season goes on he will improve with ball in hand. Furthermore, with Hamilton and Williams playing in the same pack, it will take some of the pressure off him and defences won't be able to mark him out with two or more tacklers.
Him plus the up and coming Mapapalangi are both internationals and will prove their worth!

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
McCaffrey would be the perfect player to step up to the plate this weekend.
But then again Slater would be the perfect player to add a bit of ballast and passion to the 2nd row, yet here we are.
Hopefully Evans and Croft come in to the 23 and do a great job - as I'm sure they can.

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Wow! Two newbies in the second row and neither Dom or Kitch on the bench. Injured? On the naughty step?
Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Whilst i'm happy to see Wells and Maksymiw getting a chance early on, i was kind of hoping they would be with a more experienced lock next to them.
Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester
Now is as good a time as any to get experience & game time!
What's the worse that can happen? We lose?
