Saints Away
Do Tigers go exactly the same or make a couple of changes?
Any injuries?
My thoughts, Croft in at 6 to lead the line out, Williams possibly at lock with Barrow, McGuigan and Cole to start and Hamilton at 8.
Bench up front Mulipola, Youngs, Bateman, Fitzgerald, Mapapalangi?
Backs as you were!

Re: Saints Away
A test of everyone's character, it's not a must win in terms of the season, but to lose to the sinners is never acceptable is it?
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.
Re: Saints Away
Close to a must with though if you are trying to match or better last season's results. We won at home to Bath and won at FG. If we lose weve got to beat two of the top 3 or one and Sale away to break even!
Re: Saints Away
Ryan made negligible impact and I'd drop him from the 23.
Kitchener for a big guy seems under powered but apparently he runs the line out so if dropped someone else has to pick this up this role. Perhaps bring in Croft to at least offer a safe line out option.
The whole pack seemed lacking in physicality and against Saints we need them not to take a step backwards. Pick most physical tight 5, I don't see Saints playing a wide running game.
The backs can only really be evaluated when they have a little front foot ball.
Genge
Youngs
Cole
Barrow
Fitzgerald
Croft
O'Connor
Hamilton/Kalamofoni
Youngs
Ford
May
Toomua
Tuilagi
Holmes/Brady/Malouf depending on who is fit.

Re: Saints Away
Both teams coming off the back of losses though - Saints humiliatingly so. They'll be up for it and I expect them to throw the kitchen sink at Tigers.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 10:36 am A test of everyone's character, it's not a must win in terms of the season, but to lose to the sinners is never acceptable is it?

Re: Saints Away
Think the kitchen sink has gone to Montpellier.
Re: Saints Away
Omg,JPD has the whistle Saturday!!!
Re: Saints Away
We need to get our noses in front on Saturday. Get the Saints fans grumbling and get some of their players doubting themselves. If we get them chasing the game a bit we can pick them off.
Re: Saints Away
Can't believe it, I need to lie down in a dark room, twice on one thread I agree with ellis9. Don't think we've agreed on anything before have we?
First the analysis of Sunday's game was exactly the game I watched. The assasination of Ben Youngs on this forum and at the game is getting ridiculous. I'm sorry but IMHO Sam Harrison is not in the same league. That's not just Ellis and my opinion ask Eddie Jones and Warren Gatland!
We have one of if not the best Scrum half in the NH count your lucky stars, any other team in the Premiership would snap him up given the opportunity.
Next I agree we have the backs now we need the forwards to provide the 'grunt' and the ball. We were bullied on Sunday. For any Tigers supporter and the team that is not on. The lineout performance was unacceptable. Times gone by, today would have been a beasting day at Oval Park. For me both locks on Sunday were disappointing. Barrow surprisingly so, hopefully that's a one off. Kitchener less so, as too often I think he's blown hot & cold. I think Williams adds that physicality we need, so him at lock with Croft coming in to take charge of the lineout sounds a shrewd move to me.
