Saffas v Saints
Can't work out if Sarries are brilliant or Saints are awful. Probably a bit of both. Any opinions from others?

Saints are shockingly bad - they looked beaten after 20 mins

Re: Saffas v Saints
The latter, the saints are worse than awful. Sarries are just walking through the moves

Re: Saffas v Saints
Embarrassingly bad is an understatement. No tackles and no support evident.
Re: Saffas v Saints
Preseason prediction - us top 4, Stains bottom 4.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95

Re: Saffas v Saints
Better 2nd half but Sarries had taken their foot off the pedal by then
Re: Saffas v Saints
Pretty darned poor from the Saints. I think they may replace Gloucester as the perennial under achievers - at least until they get rid of Dorian West. On the flip side, Sarries look frighteningly good, especially given that wasn't their first pick team today. Telling, very telling.

totally agree but I would add Mallinder into the equation.Maidman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2017 5:25 pm Pretty darned poor from the Saints. Hehehehehehehehe
Re: Saffas v Saints
Saints Coaching----or the lack of it---was roundly pilloried by Sky commentators. Soccer wise Mallinder snr junior and West would be long gone. Bet Gibson really regrets a :censored: move...
Re: Saffas v Saints
That also occurred to me. Especially, as the move was supposed to improve his prospects of international recognition...

Re: Saffas v Saints
Saints have been garbage for a while,King Louis excellent season just masked things and Voldemort and West have overstayed their welcome!
Re: Saffas v Saints
On the contrary, I think they're doing a fine job and should have their contracts extended for a decade or two.

Re: Saffas v Saints
Was I the only one who though Hartley's work rate was very low compared to the other 3 hookers on display this afternoon
Re: Saffas v Saints
Sarries were scarily good and without the Vunipola's and a few others.
They look like they have Itoje mk2 in Isiekwe.
They were excellent in areas not widely aknowledged, they really did cut loose in that 1st half.
I know some 13 channels that'll need to improve, ominous!
Too easy to slate Saints, agree with the above Hartley was a little of it but IMO Mallinder Jnr was way off the pace as was Brookes who I think is the most overrated player that I have ever seen, they will improve when Francis and a few others return IMO, if they can get ahead of the coaches son that is!
