Before you go down that road, do you have the current pitch dimensions of all the Aviva Prem clubs? No point in having a debate without the facts.

Welford Road Length is 91m, width is 64.5m.
I've tried extensively to find all the others but its pretty obvious we have the smallest pitch and try areas. If anyone could come up with a list that would be grand.

It may be "obvious" we have the smallest pitch.. or not.
But the question would be by how much. IIRC the max pitch size is 100 x 70. That would be a 20% bigger area than our pitch but I don't believe even Twickers is 70. So let's say they are on average 10% bigger. How much difference would that really make?

Re: Tigers v Bath
Big enough difference for it to be noticeable IMO. I've not really got the time to properly look into it but I bet the likes of Ford and May would prefer a bigger pitch.
Re: Tigers v Bath
Allianz Park is 96 x 69,nothing in it! Joking aside I heard it's the reason why we weren't a RWC venue
Re: Tigers v Bath
That's about a 12% difference so very sizeable when you consider there's 30 players on the pitch.
Re: Tigers v Bath
I'm not sure length makes so much odds as width.
Width wise you are talking a relatively small amount.
Any which way it's not changeable until they replace the Crumbie.

Re: Tigers v Bath
I would say 5 metres width is quite a large difference.
The more narrow the pitch, the less spread the players will be and the smaller the gaps will be. Seems pretty logical that this would favour a less expansive style of play. Surely less space for players like Veainu and May to play in.

There's a saying,if you can't reach the bottom make sure you destroy the sides!
Re: Tigers v Bath
Less room for chips over/grubbers in behind too.
