Saints have announced that they lost £1.2 million last year - their first since 2001. Down to 2 reasons - "dramatically increased playing costs" and "a number of one off costs and a stock write off". That is 3 reasons to me but sorry to see our neighbours losing money.

Saints join the madding crowd
Hehehehehehehehe
Re: Saints join the madding crowd
For now it shouldn't matter too much but there is significant cost inflation in the Premiership and looking to the future perhaps the most significant limit on the development of the club will be the ground capacity. Much of their £20m assets I suspect are in the form of bricks and mortar and at some point they may have to seriously consider a new location as the only way to increase attendance. If this is the case it is to be hoped that there is real added value in selling FG's for development, something I have my doubts about.

After reading the rugby papers analysis on Sunday got to say the signings saints have made and the players they have lost , you've just got to think they may be back in the championship in a year
