So long Greg Garner

Post by wormus »

Greg. Garner often rated one of the worst Referees to adorn the Tigers pitch has left the RFU Referees list and thus will not feature in this years Premiership. :smt026 Wonder if Wigglesworth can assist him too!
BUT he has become the PRO14 Elite? Referee Manager to the enlarged competition, I hope that his skills do not taint ex Tiger Frank Murphy in his excellent transition to a Referee in PRO14. :smt006

A good move for someone who had already reached his 'level of incompetence'.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

That match was quite controversial surprised that Fitzgerald wasn't cited for a tip tackle on Nathan Hughes nor was Willie le Roux for shoving Telusa Vieanu into an advertisement board when he didn't have the ball in hand, interesting that neither of those moments was shown on the full match highlights on BT or ITV

What were people's opinions of last nights ref.
Young Christof, can't remember his surname, is an ex Tigers academy player, playing career cut short by injury, making his way up the ranks, and is I believe mentored by Chris White

I don't hold out much hope for him with Tigers fans if he is being mentored by Chris White. Possibly the most "hated" ref to officiate at WR :smt001

Spoke to Christophe Friday night. Recall the fact he did some Community work for us. Didn't recognise him to start with until he spoke to me. It's good to see explayers taking up the whistle. Good luck to him.

I agree the more ex good quality players that take up the whistle the better. I'm a big fan of Glen Jackson for starters.

Apologies for the memory lapse earlier, his Christian name is Ridley.

On past players at least one of the Dickson brothers has taken up the whistle, although it doesn't always work, look at John Lacey
