Wow.......I sincerely hope the board, coaches, players and the vast majority of supporters are more positive and motivated about the new season than some of the posters on the forum.
A difficult and turbulent 2016/17 season is behind us. Personally I'm looking forward to the new season with eager anticipation.
There seems to be a number of people on here with half empty glasses which I assume they also blame on the club as they can't get served at the bar!

If you don't go in hard it's not a tackle it's an insult.

Success this season possibly more than ever will depend mainly upon injuries, if we continue to accrue injuries to key players I believe we will struggle more than ever as particuarly we have had more players leave than have joined.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
Of late I find myself agreeing with you more and more. It seems to me and Mrs G that if To'omua and Manu are/remain injured, we have a glaring weakness. Add George Ford to that and we are at the mouth of the brown creek. Frankly, retaining FB and OW, or adding a top quality 10 to GF, plus recruiting at least two top quality centres seemed to me a necessity. I would not be surprised for the Manu business to go on and on.......
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Owen and Freddie was never going to happen next season regardless of Ford coming or not.
It was never going to be an option.
Either
Ford or Burns or Williams there was never any and Inbetween.

Was it not mentioned last night that we'd have a prop for short term cover whilst Cole has his enforced rest post Lions?

If there is a reliance and dependency on Manu being fit for the season, the board and management are even more out of touch than I thought.
Personally I think the recruitment and retention has been a shambles for the last 4-5 seasons, bar the odd one, Barrow, Genge, M Williams, Burns, O Williams, but so far when you look at the talent that has left and bar Ford, what has come in, it appears to have been taken to a whole new level this season.
If we are told that we have spent up to the cap, when you balance the Ins/Outs, even taking into consideration the renewals, somebody is failing at their job in my opinion.
As I say, just my thoughts on what is becoming a very frustrating long drawn out 'transitional' period.....

Been told by a very reliable source that Tigers have signed
http://www.rugby.com.au/players/nick-malouf as centre cover on a low level contract.
Told it's done and dusted.
Only just turned 24 so most likely a direct replacement for Roberts.
Sevens Highlights

Looking into his XV game experience he seemed to mostly play 12/13.
Granted Highlights only show the highs but i like the physicality he displays.
Also adding Owen and Mapapalangi to the new signings.
Also Brugnara going to Femi CZ Rovigo

Well they all have to start somewhere, and this kid looks a better bet than Smithy or Tait, no offence, they have had their time at the top ! Its a cruel world in Sport.
Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
That's World Cup Final starting centre Matt Tait to you.

Interesting to see that Malouf appears to have done the opposite of many others, starting in the pack and then migrating into the backline having had a successful 7s career! A flanker turned centre could be just what the doctor ordered.
