I think May will be a good signing but I'm really looking forward to seeing what Holmes can do - he looks like a proper athlete and a good finisher.

Absolutely spot on. I can't wait to see them in Tigers colours.westwinds31 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2017 6:10 amFord and May are significant upgrades on Burns and JPP.

At 1:28 he is seen in the middle between Joe Ford and Dom Ryan

Very pleased about May - raw pace and skill , although I might have preferred one of the other locks to go rather than Slater . It will be interesting to see how Holmes develops - lets hope he doesn't find the transition from Championship standard to Premiership standard too much .

Yes - Wasps vs Tigers - I'm drooling already as, I suspect, the players are. Serious bragging rights at stake given the 'match-ups'!
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

2nd December: we may be missing our international players as England are playing Samoa in the preceding week.
24th March, England play Ireland in the last game of the 6 nations on the previous weekend so same again.

Ford isn't a significant upgrade on Burns, certainly not on recent form, that's crazy talk!

I think Ford is better when surrounded by high calibre players. He will be able to get more out of the likes of Manu, Toomua, May etc
Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
Re-watch Tigers loss to Bath at Twickenham last season and see if you still think we haven't upgraded with Ford coming in.
Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
What the Arg team with no rush defence or alignment lol behave! Ford has hardly been excelling for England either,he had a fantastic season under his Dad when Bath made the final but has been nowhere near that level since. Burns was world class at times last season and we are definitely getting the worse end of the deal! Significant upgrade lol

We can now look forward to this Back Line:
15,Veianu, 14,Thompstone. 13,Holmes. 12. Toomua. 11. May. 10.Ford. 9. B Youngs.
Now that's a back line to frighten most opposition.
