Pietersen leaves
Email from the club today has confirmed his departure, no news on replacement.

Wish him all the best at his new club.
But can understand why the club let him go.

Re: Pietersen leaves
He had played well - but I don't think he was THAT spectacular. He also spent a fair amount of the season on the sidelines - he also struggled for pace versus the other wingers in the league from what I witnessed.
Would imagine he wasn't cheap either.
I wish him well, just hope there are some good choices made to replace him.

Does this mean we will now get a new fullback which will allow Veianu to play in his favourite position on the wing? Mike Brown? Watch this space.

Anthony Watson and allow him and TV to rotate and switch like Stimmo and Murphy used to do
shame he's under contract until 2019

Mike Brown has extended his stay at Quins. I doubt Quins will decide to cut him loose.Noddy555 wrote:Does this mean we will now get a new fullback which will allow Veianu to play in his favourite position on the wing? Mike Brown? Watch this space.
I prefer TV at fullback, gives him more opportunity to run the ball into space and it's great to watch him dance the ball back down field. Marty Mckenzie has been rumoured though, he'd be a good option.

Sorry Noddy, Mike Brown has renewed at Harlequins. He played very well for England on Sat night.Noddy555 wrote:Does this mean we will now get a new fullback which will allow Veianu to play in his favourite position on the wing? Mike Brown? Watch this space.

Re: Pietersen leaves
Two well-paid overseas back three players off? Lets hope that means we're getting a decent, front-line goal-kicking back three player.
Re: Pietersen leaves
This is what comes of having three coaches in a season! Recruitment starts in January and we're now looking to see who is available when most teams squads have been sorted for months. An entirely foreseeable mess!
