Would have liked to see Sam James given a go in the midfield. He's a big lad with good skills.

Good mix of first choice, reserves and players with potential.

How can England play Scotland on the same day as Argentina especially when the 6 nations has finished. :smt017
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

The starting XV is pretty good considering England has so many 1st choice players bashing themselves on the rocks in NZ.

I shall watch with interest - a few Chiefs boys in there - amazing what lifting a Premiership title can do for your chances of international selection...

There's some amazing stories to some of these selections.

Piers Francis has had an unusual route to say the least, and he is likely to play for England before he has played a game in the Premiership. Is that a first?

Tom Curry, (and his twin brother), still hasn't turned 19, and both were here in Oundle sitting their 'A'levels this time last year. What an amazing 12 months they have had.

They are up against a tough and experienced Argentinian team - Good luck to them.

I don't understand why Brown continues to be selected!
Isn't this short tour an opportunity to try a new player?

You could say the same about Hartley, need a mix of yoof and experience.

No point putting a youth team out against the full strength Pumas. Brown provides experienced leadership to help the internationally inexperienced centre partnership and Yarde.

I think Olly Barkley hadn't played a single senior game for Bath when he made his England debut. Other than Barkley I can't think of any in a similar situation of having not played a single Prem match.

The Currys are a great story and seem like two genuinely intelligent, humble and likeable young blokes. That on top of all their talent as well. Hopefully they fulfill all this talent and are on the scene for a while to come.
