Nah.

If we are going to be spending that much it will be on a SH player who isn't away for the 6N's. Ford at 450K gets grief for not being value for money so imagine paying 750K for someone away same amount of time.

Nope, nope and thrice...nope! Already have the best 15 so spend the cash elsewhere and goes halves with George on a kicking coach! Irrespective of Manu's fitness/availability, we need a minimum of one quality centre to join pre-season.

Shame I rated him, BUT it makes sense for him to make this move if he has eyes on playing international rugby in the long term Scotland is will be easier to break into than England.
Is he actually leaving tigers because next to his name it still says tigers?

So, thinking of the back row, are we saying...

6 Williams, McCaffrey, Fenner

7 O'Connor, Evans, Thacker

8 Kalamafoni, Hamilton

...with Tuilagi and Mapapalangi possibly in the mix? and Tom Croft leaving?

Looks pretty impressive to me - particularly with Locky, Brendan and Luke all able to play across the piece.

Each to his own but for me that is disappointing back row depth especially when you look across the top 4/6 and the resources others have there..

Bit thin for me too, since Tuilagi? Kalamafoni dodgy knee and so on

You can add Fitz to the blindside options and Slater to the 8 options. The depth looks a bit better when you note that many of those cover numerous back row slots. 7 in particular is very strong.

7 is not very strong imo :smt017 ...it is not like we have an international 7 and decent club players behind..

We have a decent club player in O'Connor who despite being England qualified is nowhere near Eddies plans followed by two prospects who have not really done much this season at all..the whole backrow is by far our main weakness and disappointing that we may go into another season without addressing it..

Slater an option at 8..the cupboard would need to be very bare for that :smt030

Like I said compared to our supposed competition in the top 4 our backrow depth is quite frankly embarrassing imo..

Evans has been injured for the majority of the season now, when you consider we have 4 people who to differing levels play that NZ/AUS style of 7 we are very lucky

Re-signed with Quins a month or so ago, probably his agent starting rumours for negotiation purposes
