Weekly question - Saturday team v Sale?

Post by Chobbsy »

I thought the weekly question would have been posted by now, what's the likely team for Saturday going to be?

Few changes to the team that beat Newcastle I'd imagine. Maybe even none.

Referee is Master Craig Maxwell-Keys, as long as he tidies his room first.

I think we need to start with Williams to counter the carrying of Beaumont

Genge, Youngs, Cole
Barrow, Kitchener
Williams, McCaffery, O'Connor
Youngs, Burns
Mermoz, Roberts
JPP, TV, Thompstone

Bench; McGuigan, Rizzo, Cilliers, Hamilton, Thacker, Harrison, Williams, Smith.

Controversial call for no lock on the bench but Sale tend to fall apart against teams who dominate them at the breakdown. Previously we've had them at the set piece and still lost, I think the extra backrow impact could be critical. Smith over Tait because he's a much better defender and the Sale midfield run hard and straight.

Genuinely funny.

I do think he's a pretty good referee though.

Bath v Glaws is the one to watch in terms of results this weekend.

Both teams took an emotional and/or physical battering last weekend and its whoever can dog it out.

SOBO, but Bath at home must be favourites making Tigers' match v Sale crucial.

He's improving, I'll give him that. He still strikes me as unduly arrogant and bolshy for someone of his inexperience. Maybe I've just got an unfair bias against him because not only is he much younger than me, he also looks like he should be in the sixth form

I'm sure this team will probably do the job against Sale but I can't see this team getting a tbp

Must be training injuries. I can't believe you'd start without them on purpose at this point.

We're certainly well stocked for hookers on the bench...

The pack is very strong, probably our best starting pack available.

I've not read anything about the continued absence of McCaffrey and Cilliers though. What's the deal there?

Not particularly surprised at absence on Mermoz given that he's been in Florida for much of the last 2 weeks.

I hope TV isn't injured, and I'm assuming that both Locky and Cilliers are.
