Apparently a result of Brexit, due to the situation at the club with DOR/Head Coaches, he cannot guarantee he will earn enough to qualify as more than a visitor, so the Immigration Service are asking him to stay in Aus and make a formal application via the usual channels. The waiting list is only 2 months, so he should be here for preseason.ellis9 wrote:I know I joked about his visa being delayed the other day but genuinely I have heard it has actually been delayed so he won't be here until the season has finished.

IF and I sincerely hope IF MOC is not a success for any reason! Do you think in a year or so we could persuade Leo Cullen to coach us as he needs "foriegn" experience prior to taking the Irish job on?

Re: Anyone seen MOC
Cullen has no doubt improved as a coach as results show. Realistically though, Bomber has contributed quote a lot to that improvement. I wouldn't mind having the pair of them.mightymouse wrote:IF and I sincerely hope IF MOC is not a success for any reason! Sorry? What's that you say?? We've got a new coach??? Oh, OK I must have missed that......
Leo and Bomber will have to wait then .

Let us all give him a chance and beating Bath @ Twickenham is a must!

Mike Ford as defence coach, working with MOC.

Re: Anyone seen MOC
Todays news quotes MOC as saying "It's a chance to work with the squad and the staff, and that's a huge bonus before coming back and forming the plans for pre-season".
He starts on Thursday - so Murphy has teams selection this week. MOC's involvement in remaining 4,5 or 6 games seem to have an implied somewhat hands off approach whilst he comes and goes from Australia. I understand it is not easy just to move continents - even if he has worked here before, but his words about the business end of the season sound like platitudes.
Feels like everyone is on notice until the end of the season and that brings with it uncertainty. Murphy has a very big motivation job to do, and yet even his future seems uncertain. I guess the BoD wrote off this season in favour of giving MOC the best chance next season. I hope the players prove them wrong and do it for Mage and Murphy. I can almost hear TV's post match interview at Twickers already as he collects MoM.
