Doesn't say anything about the length of the contract - other than it is longer than the three month loan period.

Then there's this from the Mercury, the headline of which implies more than one year but has exactly the same wording as the Tigers news article:

If I was only allowed to sign one Tigers player on a 5 year contract, it would be Ellis Genge. He has massively impressed and will only get better.
