Kickers

Post by tigercaspian »

This afternoon's game showed how invaluable a good boot from the tee is.
We now lose two very good kickers in Burns and Williams (who has long range as an added advantage), but gain Ford who is good but probably not as good as either of them, and not as much range as Williams.
Trouble is when Ford is out playing for England or injured, who's going to do the kicking ??

The one area where Joe is better than his brother is goal kicking

Can only hope Ford will pay for a personal kicking coach and tackling coach. At the first sign of weakness this forum will hang him by his jock strap from a cross bar!

Surely we will be recruiting another quality 10, not just George's little bro?

What's Toomua's kicking like?

Harrison is good but he won't be playing when YBY is available.

No we wont, Joe is our designated 2nd flyhalf, with Toomua as further cover. JPP was signed as a 13, originally to cover for Manu, so he is/can fill in at centre with Holmes on wing.

Sam is a scrum half, we can't go forward playing people out of position, just so we play them.

Might be a good time to make sure George Worth keeps up his goal kicking.

George Worth scored for Nottingham on Saturday in their Rotherham Titans 7 Nottingham 47 win, Tressider scored for Rotherham but Charlie Thacker also scored for Nottingham. Report - http://www.nottinghamrugby.co.uk/nottin ... le-titans/
