. . . . such an incredible lack of imagination from our Board.

Well, didn't see that coming! I guess Kay, underwood etc are convinced he is the best available, maybe there was not much choice? Who else is out there and available?
AM hasn't been a roaring success TBH so not surprised he has gone, although surprised at the timing. All sounds a bit cosy from the players, maybe to cosy? I worked for a mate once and it was great and I was gutted when he moved on but afterwards I performed much better for someone I didn't know so well.
I just hope MOC gets us to 4th or this decision could look even stranger.

I give up did we really pay the same consultants that came up with Eddie Jones for England to come up with this farce. Mage was obviously putting together a squad that can actually play and apart from the Freddie / George debacle I was starting feel good about the future especially after yesterday, but now.. I notice they quote all of his achievements last time he was with tigers, surely the same results that weren't good enough to keep Cockers in his job. I really have no idea what the board are trying to achieve but a return to winning ways obviously isn't part of it. Bunch of clowns.

Nothing yet from Cohen. To do it at all and to do it now means he has nowhere left to hide. If it doesn't work this season - remember that he has chosen the timing for Cockerill and Mauger - his position will surely become untenable.

I will always support Tigers no matter who is in the team*, or who heads it up.

If Matt O'Connor is the man for the job, then he's the man for the job. I'll support him (despite misgivings over his departure last time. He went for reasons. Success aside.). What really concerns me is the manner of Cockers' departure and the manner of Mauger's departure. This whiffs. Frankly I think they've both been treated exceedingly shabbily (and tweets from Tigers players seem to support this). This is becoming a soccerballist like situation, which is, well, unbecoming. I disapprove. I am beginning to believe the Board are not Gentlemen.

*Okay, if Calum Clark comes in, I'd think about supporting Exeter...

I've contacted the club to share my thoughts with them.
The more I think about this, the angrier I'm getting.
The popular opinion after this was leaked via the Mercury should have told the board all they need to know. The fans expected and deserved better.

I can't see any mention of the length of MoCs contract - short term?

Am I clutching at straws?

I'm thankful for all the work he's put into me over the last 2 seasons and definitely believe I'm a better player because of him! Big week now! Cheers Mage"

Some comments from the Leinster fans forum:

"Matt 'The Black Door' O'Connor is back in the northern hemisphere. God help Leicester"

"Brilliant news - means Burt won't be going there anytime soon."

"We are guaranteed to get them in Europe next season now and I would be very happy with that"

Do you expect a sensible well thought out response?
