It's not that Mauger is being replaced etc etc for me. The ONLY thing that has made my blood boil is the fact we have appointed O'Connor! All the other things haven't even entered my mind as I can't get past this ridiculous decision!

Not a great decision. Not sure what all the money was spent on scouring the rugby earth for a new coach. I will, always support Tigers but this leaves a bad taste, in the timing and the naming of O'Connor. It will be interesting to see what players do, rather than say. If players vote with their feet, this decision would have been poor. Not sure what the board were thinking?? Let's just see.

I really hope the club have this whole thing under control: the current squad, assistant coaches, contract extensions & New signings.etc
We have just won the AWC & the feel good factor was on the rise with both supporters & squad & wham you hit everybody with this.
I await to see the reaction to this from the players on the pitch this week & signings, contract extensions performances in the coming weeks.

I'm just saying it's another player not too impressed. I know he won't be here next season but still, it's another black mark against O'Connor.

Seriously underwhelmed. :smt009

Really upset actually. :smt022

Will always support the Tigers, and will fall in behind our Coach/DoR whoever it is, but I really would have preferred someone different. :smt010

What were the Board thinking?? :smt017

Well, I have been a STH for 8/9 years now an IMHO the board are the bit between your lower back and upper thighs. Of all the people we could have recruited (or kept) we get an out and out foul mouthed bully. We are on our way to being a mid table team now. Losing Freddie and Owen is not at all compensated by the return of Ford. He ain't all that. Not nearly the best ten in the 6N. Would swap him for Russell, Sexton etc.
They are acting as though the club is their plaything and the players and us the supporters are largely irrelevant.
First Cockers and now Mauger. Who is next I wonder? How many of the current squad are going to stay, knowing who will be in charge. Furious!!

Very disappointing that for all the talk of appointing specialists to source the best possible candidate, we have appointed O'Connor. Backwards step.
The player reactions on Twitter say it all. Veianu, arguably one of our most potent backs, and McCafferey who has been one of our most consistent forwards, the first to speak out.
Player recruitment suddenly looks less promising.

Sacked by Leinster, went to Queensland Reds where they played 15 and lost 11 in 2016. They finished second to last, winning only 3 games, scoring 33 tries in the process. Top team scored 61 tries in comparison.

Attacking rugby eh?

:censored: - the board really have their collective heads where the sun doesn't shine ...

The team and coaching staff start to turn things around; board committed to giving Mauger to the end of the season; and then they announce this, the most underwhelming selection for Head Coach ever (no DOR either?). Poor, very, very, poor.

Timing awful, no decency left in a board who seem completely out of their depth to run a club. Are they deliberately looking to pee off their customers (fans) and also any potential sponsors???

Freddie Burns:

"Yesterday's win suddenly means a whole lot more to us now. Mage is a great coach but above all a top bloke who cares about his players wellbeing just as much as their performance. I'm thankful for all the work he's put into me over the last 2 seasons and definitely believe I'm a better player because of him! Big week now! Cheers Mage"

OMG, why him? Not happy, what has come over our board, it seems like a ridiculous decision to me? :smt013

Is it time to do a Stade, their tactics worked?
