It looks a stronger team on paper than Sarries, but who knows what the result will be. Looking forward to seeing some of the younger players getting a run out in the second half.
Thacker covering hooker that's why Croft at 16. As long as there is a second player who can play hooker in the 23 doesn't matter who.
Looks a decent side to me certainly better balance than last trip
A confused back row for me, Hamilton is an 8 not a 6 and McCaffrey is not an 8, nice to see Thacker at 7 but would probably have played McCaffrey there, as for the rest, solid front row, need big games from the out of form Tait and Kitto, heart says Tigers but head says comfortable win for Sarries.
A surprisingly strong team. Looking forward to it.
Can somebody answer me something? Croft is a 6 exclusively as far as I'm aware. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Owen also exclusively a 6?

Croft has played a fair bit at 7 when required in the past (just as he spent half a season predominantly as a lock a few years ago).
I'd prefer to see just a tad more younger players starting and more involved overall and find out a bit more about how good they actually are as I'm sure they'd like to do the same themselves.
No doubt everyone would like to win this trophy but in the grand scheme of things winning the competition playing a bunch of older players and too many players who are leaving won't really make any difference in the Premiership and Europe causes in the coming years.
Of course there is always a risk that they could get beaten or be shown up where they need to improve to make the next step up, but isn't that the idea of the competition!

Will Owen played openside for the England under 20s a couple of years back.
