Looking forward to watching this on PremTV tomorrow. I had to turn down tickets as I had a previous engagement fitting a new shower in the bathroom

Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
Just got back from the game, had to rush as going out tonight..
The best performance of the season IMO. Yes Bristol weren't good but we played with passion, accuracy and skill today - to a level not been see so far this season!!
Yes the intensity dropped off a little in the 2nd half, but that is hardly surprising. Genge was simply awesome in the loose when he came on!!
Really enjoyed it and hope it gives us some real impetus going into two difficult away games.
Welcome back TV and JPP, both sheer class, boy have we missed them.

We're back! Tigers resurgence. When we get through to the final it'll be the end of May. Then we're into Lions territory - end of June/July. Bring it on!
Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
I enjoyed the first 30 like no other game for several seasons. The handling was awesome, the interplay sublime, the tackling and phase play brutal If we played like that all the time we would beat most AP sides, most of the time.
It all went a bit quiet, revived a bit till Mermoz went off and then IMO went back to the poorer standard with dropped ball and botched moves.
Barrow, Mermoz, Roberts, JPP, OW and above all Hamilton made that first 30.
Half of these won't be here next season. We lack good centres. Mermoz IMO a class above Manu, haven't seen enough of To'omua.

I can't remember what my season ticket costs off the top of my head but it's worth it just for today.
Smiled all the way back to Aylesbury. Even Steve Johnson was deleriously happy......
Hamilton, both Williams, and Tombstone (as always) outstanding. JPP and TV just sprinkled their stardust
Thank you Tigers......happy happy happy.........

Surprised no one has mentioned O'Connor thought his link work was out standing
Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
Veaninu was the catalyst, he just is in a different class to the rest, and JPP is as solid as a rock. Bristol were poor, lets not get carried away.
If we win the next four like this-then we can start getting positive

Are you saying that we should be negative after today then?fortysix wrote:Veaninu was the catalyst, he just is in a different class to the rest, and JPP is as solid as a rock. Bristol were poor, lets not get carried away.

Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
Yes they were poor but to score 50 points in any match is an achievement. Bristol never gave up and were attacking to the very end.fortysix wrote:Veaninu was the catalyst, he just is in a different class to the rest, and JPP is as solid as a rock. Bristol were poor, lets not get carried away.

As an aside Jason Woodward is a class act

Hamilton has been performing at a high standard for some weeks now IMO, (even allowing for the horrendous defeats) underrated and possibly even maligned by some as a 'lower class' signing. Now settled and looking worth the investment.jgriffin wrote:and above all Hamilton made that first 30.

Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
No, but expectations should be tempered. After all, it's still less than a month since we lost 0-43 at home to Glasgow (/Scotland). We had a very similar result this time last year, 47-20, again Irish and we didn't subsequently start winning everything (2 home wins, 2 away losses).Cagey Tiger wrote:Are you saying that we should be negative after today then?fortysix wrote:Veaninu was the catalyst, he just is in a different class to the rest, and JPP is as solid as a rock. However, it was a very positive performance, and the TBP after 27 minutes was a statement of intent and it was good to see us have a little more stardust back on the pitch. Cilliers fending off and going around their 13 was nice to see. A good follow up to Mermoz's maul!

Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
No one seems to have mentioned Harrison, his speed of pass made it quicker ball and better platform to play from.
Roberts was brilliant shame he had to goof at h-t.

Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
Jack Roberts was excellent as was Owen Williams a pity that we are losing both these players at the end of the season. Now we are only 4 points behind Barf and within touching distance of 2nd place. We now need to keep the momentum up against Harlequins at the Stoop next Friday to prepare ourselves for what could be a crunch match against the Chiefs the following Friday.
Re: Saturday vs Bristol - your nominations?
Seems to be some difference of opinion how a result like this translates against the best teams but I think one thing was clear and that was the returning players in the backs have added extra with their pace.
The threat from Leicester in the first half was everywhere and really stretched Bristol!
