Missed his half time comments, but did think how sensibly he spoke about concussion in a piece about George North before the match

OED: a post carved and painted with totem figures, erected by the Indians of the north west of North America in front of their houses.

I can accept that Parisse is a totem for Italy or indeed totemic but a totem pole he is not!

I am hopeful Ugo will feed us more gems in due course......

I've just had a pedant moment on FB over 'bias', the adjective/adverb being 'biasED'. It's like 'of' for 'have', it's grammatical OCD and I don't care. You have my support, tigercaspian, just make sure it's washed before you send it back.
