Not sure what Thacker did to be outstanding he was ok. Mcguigan has put his hand up to start next week

Rubbish Ellis, do you always defend everything they do, that was almost a certain 7 points down the drain, that was a time to back your forwards!

Tigerbeat also agreed with me so no I have idea why you only included me in your response.

It wasn't 7 points down the drain as we were not guaranteed them. We could have knocked the ball on, had an accidental offside or made a forward pass amongst other things.

I think you need to take a chill pill by the way.

Who was captain at that stage? Had Barrow gone off?

Hey LE18, are you going to have a go at Mark62 who also says that taking the 3 points was the right call?

Felt better after watching this. Some heart shown today by the team. Plus it's great to see a great try by one of the fat boys. McGuigan's effort was tops. Freddie was like the little girl who had a curl but could Mermoz be the teacher the backs need. We lost. yeah, but for the brain fades it could have been different.

Except for the Sarries pack at scrum time. I think he missed that once or twice!

A fair bit to take forward but for me there are still too many basic errors coming from players who should know better.
On the flipside good to see Ben Betts on the pitch also glad Mermoz got some game before next week. For me McGuigan & Barrow did well as did a couple of others. Next week l would like to see both in the starting line up & Wells on the bench.
BTW McGuigan said post match we are trained to run those sort of lines (in his try) my question is why is he the only one to have done so then.

I'm glad you said this! I, too, felt strangely heartened after this - McGuigan; young Croft and even Freddie's recovery quite cheered me. I put it down to watching Wales and Italy play for the wooden spoon; a few glasses of Merlot; and mild hysteria so I'm relieved you felt it too! :smt030
