A strong side with a better bench than we've had for a while, fancy a win from this.

What about the backs? Smith is probably in due to Mermoz having only been in the country a week, but the rest are players most other sides wouldn't moan about having. Interesting to see how Kitto has popped above Harrison in the pecking order.

Chez Griffin not impressed with backs, but bench is good. Not holding our house breath for a win.
Kitto there while Sam covers 10 I hope and not some daft idea he's better.

Humm well yes the jury is out on this side, it needs a special performance from Tom Youngs not only in the scrum and the loose but also throwing into the line out lets hope that during his 3 week rest he has practised his throwing and returned to his A1 game. Most of the other selections I can't dispute, but is Peter Betham
injured or absent on personal business? I can't believe hes been left out on form alone.

I think Tom's confidence has been well and truly shattered

A stronger bench than the starting XV all being give an extended rest. Mermoz should start he has come from France not the other side of the world no excuse for not starting him unless he is unfit! If we fail to turn up from kick off we could easily lose this match in the first half (again). Seems our illustrious coaches think that we can canter to a win. I'm worried.

Betham should have been left out following his run of very poor performances - but why oh why is Mermoz not starting ?

Not only is it a must win, I would say we need 5 points from this match as well as 5 points next week if we want to finish in the top 4.

Spme strange selection calls. Are all the other back rowers injured then that we have to start Thacker at 7? And where's Kitch nowadays?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Well I reckon Mauger saw what Claudio Ranieri did with City v Derby on Wednesday: picked a strange team but one of players enthusiastic to play! Let's hope we get a good win like City! I will be cheering from the start to the end hoping Tigers put in an 80 minute performance against a very strong, confident Gloucester side. Good luck Tigers.

Let us just hope that Freddie and Billie Burns do not meet for a sociable drink before kickoff! But Tigers are not like Arsecotts.
