Owen Williams in Six Nations squad

Post by ellis9 »

A few days after he announced he is moving closer to the Welsh border, he is called in to the Six Nations squad!

Congrats to him From a Tigers view point it will not improve our player availability or should I say lack of it.

I wonder how Glaws will feel about this. I assume they thought he would be available all season.

Is it a bit Rhys Priestland-ish?

Great news for him. Not ideal for us, but needs must...

Doubt he will be available if he suffered a bad arm injury.

I think Gloucester knew exactly that he would be in Welsh thoughts when they signed him; after all, they had apparently had to pay international money to price out the regions.

They've got Burns Jr and 36 at least as cover if he ends up being a regular.

Superb news for Owen, and glad he's made it into the squad as a Tiger. Hopefully he will make his debut as a Tiger too.

Great news for Owen and long overdue as his injury/suspension cycle clashed with selection before. So sad that he is leaving Tigers as he is not yet the finished result but I expect Ystradgynlais and his parents will be so proud of him, I expect him to be on the pitch in a Wales shirt soon. :smt038

Should have been in the squad two years ago. Get rid of Gatland and he would have caps already.

Seems rather ironic. I don't think that I am the only one who thinks that his performances this season have been a bit below previous seasons (I'm a fan of his, not a knocker) and he gets selected.

Good luck to the the lad though if he does get selected then he always has a 'mare' against England. :smt043
