Read the French Newspaper that has full details of the Toulon team and you will find that Mermoz is not named in the 23.
Why read a French newspaper when Whitecap Tiger has kindly posted the information above, from SkySports. You should practice what you preach i.e. "I suggest you read other members posts carefully".
Pah! Who needs Sky, BT, Midi, RP, whatever when you have Noddy, fount of all knowledge?

Probably would do Dr Flash but my sources insist that it's already a done deal.

Well, Aaron Mauger said in his post match interview, in response to a pretty direct question on BBC RL, that nothing had been agreed but Mermoz was a player being watched - or words to that effect.

Now, I fully understand a club official playing cards close to their chest with regards to a contract situation, so if 'sources' ( :smt002 ) are leaking info the club are doing their best to play down then the club might be a bit miffed when they are clearly going to lengths to remain non-committal..........

I'm less concerned about injury replacements than I am about retaining players we'll need for our revival next season - such as Genge. If you were offered equal terms by any of the current top 4 - would you stay?

Fair point strawclearer, let's see if he's good to his word from this article - I think he will be:

The signing of Maxime Mermoz to the rest of the season, is not going to make a jot of difference until the forwards can learn how to compete at the breakdown.

Or defend a rolling maul without conceding a try, penalty or yellow card. Or a combination of them.
