Love the comment about Cockerill and his gig at Toulon and bag of cash.

Like this guy more and more.

Gotta agree with that "grobyman", reminds me of Julian White. The following comment about him & Cockers is top drawer:

"Genge, who was wayward in his Bristol youth and in trouble with the law on a few occasions, has a sharp way with words, too. The story at Leicester is that Cockerill, who saw in Genge a player cut in his own tempestuous image, jokingly challenged the young prop to a fight. Back came the reply: “Fine, but who will coach the team this afternoon?”

This guy needs his new contract sorting out sooner rather than later he with the other guys coming through can be the anchor of our pack in future years to come.

Nit Sire!

(No - wasn't elevating you to royal status nor doubting your intelligence! Just following your example of swapping o for i!)

Julian was birn in Plymiuth and played briefly for Bristil.

Julian White played 27 games for Bristol Shoguns before joining Tigers in 2003 when Bristol were relegated.
One of the best characters we have had at Tigers.

Corry was also another former Bristol player before coming to Tigers.

It seems that Cockers was brilliant at finding decent forwards - but rubbish at picking durable backs, however mercurial they might be when/if/occasionally fit.

I really hope Cockers doesn't try to turn Gengie's head to the S of France!

Cocker doesn't seem that type of person.

There's a very similar piece in today's Times as well. Could even have been taken from the same interview, it's so similar. Sorry can't do a link and anyway I think you have to have a Tines subscription to open it.
