The back line that's starting looks much better for having Tait at 15 and Burns at 12.

Could do with a full 80 from Genge - worrying that there's still no Ayerza. No real loosehead option on the bench.

O'Connor injured...?

Strong first XV, but we do look bare on the bench in some positions.

Burns at 12????

Does Jumbo's latest teamsheet post lay to rest the long held rumour that Jumbo was really Cockers? Given that this post arrived ahead of the team being announced officially on the website is it maybe Cockers doing so final mischief making?

I suggest Brendon O'Connor missing from the squad this week may well be a rest week given that he has played in all bar one of the last 10 games.

Carter and 2 others still being investigated after being cleared by FFR. Their alleged levels of Corticosteroids were above the 30 limit set by WADA so they could still be in trouble.

Racing team doesn't look a weak team to me. Looks like they are really going to try and win this one so 5 points may be a bit too far

This is probably now a fixture fulfilment process, the chance of progressing is so slight and dependant on other results. The home Glasgow game is more significant, home pride and some payback for the Scotstown mullering!

A win in France would be nice, but not really too concerned, be interesting to see how Racing step up, they only have Home support to play for they cannot even mathematically progress. They were battered by Munster last week.

Lets just hope we qualify for this competition next year and get an Italian side! It is never going to be easy, but some group draws are clearly softer!

Gengie played 80 superb minutes last week, didn't he? And he was still looking for a scrap after the final whistle.

He is really stepping up to the mark, but he need to curb his temper as he has a bit of a reputation and we can do with keeping 15 players on the pitch for 80 minutes

Only yellow carded once for us afaik (deliberate knock on iirc) so pretty good at keeping a lid on it I would say.

Cue sending off on Saturday!

Not much to talk about from that team really. I'm very unexcited for some reason. Depending on results it will depend if we can qualify or not that will determine how we set up for Glasgow at home.

Are you from the Ministry of the Bleedin Obvious. I'm sure that is how the competition is to work :smt044

SAD. You will be alright come May when the day is sunny and we are in the ERC Final.

I really must stop smoking this stuff, it's blowing my brains. :smt025
