Cockerill to England Coaching Staff?

As reported by BBC.

Now that would be a poke in the eye for those who sacked him if it comes to pass. I can quite see how Jones, being the successful maverick he is, would be quite happy to have another successful maverick in the camp. Cockerill's track record as a player at both club and international level, alongside his coaching track record with Tigers (trophies and titles) is pretty impressive. Arguably much more impressive than Borthwick who would probably appreciate a front row mate at training.

To quote the next leader of the western world "it's not gonna happen!"

France a more likely destination.

Assuming you have some privileged information and the ear of the man himself and his family, it is worth pointing out that he has already 'done' France. Never say never. England may call but don't forget Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Italy. None of those sides has a bedded-in coaching staff.
