Re: And we think we're in trouble.......
The saints bored will be apocalyptic compared to ours. I think Malinder will quit. He appears to be loyal but honest. He may have paid the price for his selection and that result. Shame as saints doing bad is a moral boost...
There is never any points for 2nd place...
Re: And we think we're in trouble.......
Unlikely that Mallinder et al will be in trouble for this. They rested Whack-a-mole, (or was it his brother?) and lots of other first teamers likely to make a difference. They are 9th, not going to get out of their European group and so need to make tactical choices: abandon Europe concentrate on getting 5th or 6th.

Don't think it will make a difference until the end of season.Old Hob wrote:Unlikely that Mallinder et al will be in trouble for this. Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

My point exactly; why don't you just agree with me Mr Griffin?

They could be in a bit more trouble....

IMO, a club should be entitled to field whatever team they wish to, shouldn't be up to the tournament organisers to decide that. (May be a bit too simplistic).
It should just be left alone, they suffered enough yesterday.

I agree with you completely.WhitecapTiger wrote:IMO, a club should be entitled to field whatever team they wish to, shouldn't be up to the tournament organisers to decide that.
Since the richardcraniums who run EPCR have accepted the squad selected by Northampton to represent the club in European competitions, there can be no grounds for complaint or investigation as to which of these players Voldemort and Co. pick to play.

Yes but would we be complaining if Racing, who are out of the competition, put out a weak team against Munster when we still have a mathematical chance of qualifying. Castres and Montpellier will not be happy.

Surely if all the players ARE registered to play then so be it. Malinder was right to rest his guys in a, what is for them a 'dead-rubber'. I would not complain if Racing 92 puts out a lesser-calibre of a side to any of our pool group, you can only play what is in front of you. If Munster get 5 points then so do the Tigers and then the Tigers need to beat Glasgow well to have any chance of getting through the pool anyway.Doghashadhisday wrote:Yes but would we be complaining if Racing, who are out of the competition, put out a weak team against Munster when we still have a mathematical chance of qualifying. Re: And we think we're in trouble.......
The team they pick should be entirely up to them. You name a European squad, any player in that squad should be fair game to play.
However, I question the sense in Saints picking that side. Already on a bad run with fan frustration, they just allowed more negativity and fear to set in. It isn't looking good for Mallinder.

I suspect Northampton have more to fear from the North incident
