For those of you calling for Cockerill to go and for those of you criticising our play, now is the time for you to answer these questions? Preferably, sensibly.

1) Who do you bring in to replace Cockerill?
2) Does Mauger go as well? He came in to change how we play and in the 18 months he has been here, he hasn't made a huge impact.
3) What style of rugby should we play?
4) What would guarantee at least 1 trophy per season?
5) What are your expectations of where we should finish in the Premiership and Champions Cup?

1) Mallet or Ackermann
2) Proberley depends on new DOR.
3) Physical rugby at the very least.
4) nothing
5) minimum of 4th and QF's.

Trouble is we have had our :censored: served on a plate at least twice a season for the last 3 season, it isn't a one off anymore and that is what worries me he most.

1} Keep RC
2) Let him go, promote Smurph
3) One that is suited to the capabilities of our squad
4) Nothing in life is guaranteed save death.
5) On current form 4th and no further than current round
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Never understood this Mallett fascination and Ackermann isn't stand out for me.

We have finished 4th or above for about 12 years in a row so are achieving what you want there.
Why physical rugby? What does that give us?

Sapajo, I'm not asking about current form, just what your expectations are. For example, do you think we should be top 2 every season and semi finalists of Champions Cup?

What does physical rugby give us?

What doesn't it give us more like.

It provides front foot ball for us Blackfoot ball for them and it creates a mental edge IMO.

And we are not achieve in the European bit though.

Not sure how Ackermann isn't a stand out either TBH.

Took the lions from being a team winning only 3 games in 16 matches to finalist in just 3 seasons, on a tiny budget and up against more popular franchises in Stormers, Bulls and Sharks.

Pretty damn impressive I would say. And has a great forwards coaching reputation.

Only 3 years coaching experience and very limited knowledge of English and European Rugby makes him a no go for me.

Firstly, Mauger came in as head coach and not as DOR so it's different but I wasn't excited about Mauger coming to us. I even said at the time he would not necessarily guarantee success or exciting rugby.

I don't think "physical" rugby is what we need, especially if physical means giving away more penalties and yellow and red cards. One could suggest Saints play "physical" rugby but look what Dullan did again last night. I don't really want to see us go down that road.

It's not that long ago that Sarries were the "average" team, or worse, I'd rather we looked at what they're doing right rather than clutching at straws such as "physical" play.

Unfortunately we don't have pockets as deep as Saracens.

I won't say any more than that in case I get in to trouble :smt023

Munster played perfect Physical rugby today, Saints don't play physical rugby ATM.

What you are on about it thug rugby IMO.

Physical rugby is hitting the rucks, it is attacking in defence and it is taking the ball to the defence.

In attack It is the forwards running hard onto the ball, it is the forwards then clearing the defenders fast to provide space and fast ball to our backs.

It is driving for the breakdown.

None of which we did today and none of which is clutching at straws.

Today was sooooo clear what we did wrong and that was lacking physicality and intensity of any kind.
