England Australia

YBY carving out legend status as a far better playmaker than Ford!
27-16 after a rubbish first half.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

And then Eddy decides to bring Care on who promptly gives possession away with an awful drop goal. Eddy's first mistake?

Surprised at the yellow - even more surprised Ford didn't go for 3 points

The yellow was harsh. Maybe technically correct according to current guidelines but that seems ridiculous, we'll end up with touch rugby!

Ford kicking for goal?. not surprised he went for the corner!!

Miss chunks of the game thanks to visitors (who were not rugby fans!) but looked to me overall:
the core of the team is solid
the appropriate guts for a grinding win are there
some (e.g. Care) may not last past the 6N
EJ clearly one of the best coaches in rugby

Still don't Ford at Tigers, we would have to hide him from the big men running at him.

Don't need him back - Ford's a good playmaker and at kicking out of hand but too flakey under pressure and place kicking not good enough for top level, which means have to play with a backup kicker, thus restricting selection options.

As for the rest - England were simply were awful that first 20 minutes and 'Popper' Hartley is a liability in the scrum.

England were lucky today with the bounces of the ball, ref decisions and disallowed tries, maybe that's what EJ brings to the table, the rub of the green?
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Agree, but Hartley along with Care is one I think not long for the fold. Doesn't deserve his place on merit.
Even the left and right of the political spectrum can agree on really important issues. :smt004

EJ has said on a few occasions now how much he values Hartley (even if he gets in a jam)
