Just keeps getting better doesn't it JG. Before anyone else says it, its all Cockers fault and he should have seen this coming. It's gross negligence getting Tait injured when TV is away. There has to be an investigation into the coaching methods.jgriffin wrote:Spheroids.

TBF he arranged it so the only match we'd be without Tait and TV would be Bristol. And they are not right?Doghashadhisday wrote:Just keeps getting better doesn't it JG. Worth to get more game time maybe, quite like the look of him.
Re: Tait out for 2 months and other injuries
Largely cool, apart from the kicking nerves. Clearly building him for next season anyway, so not a tragedy except for Tait's reading of the game.RagingBull wrote:Worth to get more game time maybe, quite like the look of him.

Such bad luck for Tait, but long term this could be a very well disguised blessing. Goal kicking can be worked on; it's hard to judge based on current evidence.RagingBull wrote:Worth to get more game time maybe, quite like the look of him.

Yes I like the look of Worth and with Burns and Williams on the pitch hopefully he won't need to do any place kicking.

Tait never looked better under the high ball than on Sunday. In that respect, he was one of the most influential players. I've been as critical of Tait, as most forum members, but he's been improving, game by game this year and he'll be a big loss.

To be fair he appears to be a competent goal kicker. Yes he fluffed the one against Bath and should have slotted his first against the Dragons, but his second was a good clean strike and they were in front of the two largest crowds he'd have played in front of.Soggypitch wrote:Yes I like the look of Worth and with Burns and Williams on the pitch hopefully he won't need to do any place kicking.

Is it just me and a million others or are rugby fans more fickle than other sports? Tait has been lambasted on this forum this season (too old, too slow etc) Now he is to be sorely missed!

I too think that he had a very good game on Sunday, particularly under the high ball in what were quite tricky conditions. He also regularly beat a number of defenders. He was, imo, coming into some good form; so whilst it does give young Worth an opportunity whilst TV is unavailable, it is unfortunate for Tait and the team.

Re: Tait out for 2 months and other injuries
It looked a nasty clash & Tait went down in immediate pain. Shame as it was his best game of the season by some way.
Our players haven't had much luck with facial fractures in the last year or two.
Manu, Williams, Burns, Harrison and now Tait!
In many ways it isn't surprising that these happen but we have had more than our share of jaw injuries.

Re: Tait out for 2 months and other injuries
I can't recall how Tait's injury happened but, in general, the amount of 'stand-up / face-to-face' tackles that now happen must have increased facial impact injuries - not that I've seen any empirical evidence. Another example of law changes producing unfortunate and unintended consequences?mol2 wrote:It looked a nasty clash & Tait went down in immediate pain. Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO
