That's a worrying thought JG.
Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
Genge only signed a full contract at the end of last season, why wouldn't that have been 2/3 years?
He seems very happy here too, even after Cockerill's departure.

Think it states that, despite Cockerill's departure, he still intends to stay.

He's also quite openly stated Ayerza is a huge influence on him.

Joe Ford coming as the back up 10. Seriously hope that's the second and final Ford arriving!

Say's who?
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….
Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
Seriously I hope it's a joke,I'd prefer Harrison as our back up 10! Would you trust Joe when George is away with England? I certainly wouldn't,I could maybe see him as 3rd choice 10 but certainly not bench 10,not a chance!

Could see him coming as 3rd choice 10 actually but not as back up 10.
Reckon we could see Toomua playing 10 during internationals with maybe Harrison given kicking duties.
Although I think this rumor is somebody thinking Ford has to go to a club with another family member in it. (Which wasn't the case when he first joined Tigers).
Would like to see Hardwick play in the LV cup next season but at the same time he won't be ready for Prem rugby for 2/3 season at the earliest IMO and playing him to early might not his confidence at that level.

Mhmm. Cheap, EQP, some Premiership experience and ultimately would actually be at least 3rd or 4th choice as a stop gap and for AWC.Lammy wrote:Joe Ford coming as the back up 10. Seriously hope that's the second and final Ford arriving!
There would be stranger signings.

Am I the only one who thinks we need 3 new 8's?
McCaffrey, Hamilton and O'Connor to me are all flankers more than 8's.

Raging Bull, agree about BOC and LM but Hamilton can do a job there but only as cover, with Kalamsfoni coming in who covers 6 and 8 too I think we need one frontline number 8 and that will be enough.

If Kalamafoni is to to be one of our 8's, I'd like him to be second choice with one of your three as 'back-ups'.RagingBull wrote:Am I the only one who thinks we need 3 new 8's?

Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

I just feel that we could see one of these
McCaffrey, O'Connor or Croft.
Off.
And replaced with a heavier duty option.
In the development squad we have
Owen
Raffell
Fred jnr
all of who I'm not sure of, Raffell gets a good report at 7 though.

Yes RB ,with Evans in the mix too I can see one of those going. I'm not sold on Freddie,so slow you could paint him and don't see enough in him to think that he will make the grade.
