This is the best thread on the forum! We just bimble along (talking drivel) until some rumour of note pops up - and then we discuss it and destroy the poster if it turns out to be false! Talking of which - Josh Strauss is ruled out of the 6N because of injury so we must be signing him!
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

But we've already "signed" and injured backrower?! We even re-injured him last week!strawclearer wrote:This is the best thread on the forum! Hmmm. I'd heard that too. Richie Gray must have advised him. If true, it'll be a good move as Toulouse are in need of bolstering their back row following the departure of King Louis and the imminent departure of Thierry Dusautoir (unofficially to Tigers!)

Is bimbling the same as bumbling?strawclearer wrote:This is the best thread on the forum! Bimble is a leisurely stroll AFAIKHinckley Bob wrote:Is bimbling the same as bumbling?strawclearer wrote:This is the best thread on the forum! Bimble = move along slowly with nothing much to do. OED reckons it began with British soldiers in the Falklands back in the 80's after the Argie threat had diminished. So perfect word for what's been going on, on this post for the last three months!
Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
Agreed Strawclearer lets keep bimbling along as we womble through the maze that is the forum. This thread should be kept open all season and then refreshed every August for the new season.

Interesting, all my family use it (Exeter). Bro Steve was a Marine Para in the Falklands incident, Bro Mike (the Chiefs STH)in the Army Ski lot.Jacko27 wrote:Bimble = move along slowly with nothing much to do. 'Bimbling' has been going since long before the early 80s. My parents used to use the term as an alternative to dawdling.

I won't put any trust in this until Noddy confirms it via his secret (mint) sauces.Hmmm. I'd heard that too. Richie Gray must have advised him.
