With all the resigning and signing of players over the last few days would we take it that a new DOR is almost a done deal, would this have been a factor with the players having a clue who would be coaching them?

Got to agree, I think that the boards mind is made up, would not be surprised if AM is still in the job for next season

Let's hope not! That will be such an uninspiring, strange and generally poor decision if he is made DOR or Head Coach but in overall control.

It would be interesting to look back at the posts of a year ago when everyone was excited about Aaron Mauger arriving.

Personally I would love to see Robbie Deans and AM work together again, between the two of them I'm sure the playing side of the club move forward in a new direction which would only be a good thing as in my opinion we need to move away from some of our old ways to ensure we catch up fast with the competition. :smt002

I'd sooner have his brother Steffan Armitage, now that would solve our back row
problem as he has played in all three positions in his career, perhaps he has two other clones er brothers?

No more brothers afaik and only moved to Pau last summer. Plus - I can't see how somebody at 5' and not many" weighing 17st roughly can hope to carry on much into their 30's!

To quote the late Brian Clough, "if he was playing in my back garden, I'd close the curtains".

I think Guy Armitage is still at Wasps. Not that it's really relevant to the discussion and he ain't getting game time there... :smt017

With us losing two capable fly halves at the end of the season and only gaining one (when not on international duty), has there been word on another proven fly half joining us?

You can find my comments if you like. However it will be easier to tell you. I said something along the lines of bringing in Mauger won't guarantee exciting, free flowing rugby. I was proved correct.
