Bath and the Whatever it's called now cup.

Post by RagingBull »

So what do you hope Cockers and Mauger do?

Hoping that it is coached by Deacon, Allen and Murphy like the A league team.

For Bath like to see
1) Cilliers, 2) Thacker, 3) Balmain
4) Lock with a tough name to spell, 5) Wells
6) Hamilton, 7) Evans, 8) Leonardi
9) Harrison, 10) Worth
12) Roberts, 13) Smith
11) Brady, 14) Catchpole, 15) Simmons

16) McGuigan, 17) Brugnara, 18) Betts
19) Fred Jnr, 20) Owen
21) Kitto, 22) Hardwick/Bryant, 23) Yawayawa

Is Tom Croft anyway near playing? If so would be good to get him in a competitive game or two.

I was asking if we, the forum, were writing it off. Do we really want to make a real effort for win it or use it as an opportunity to play the fringe players. Whichever team goes out, I would be expecting them to be aiming for a win.

Win but wouldn't risk any of the main group of prem players

Basically none of the starters or the replacement props or locks currently (due to limited availability) and Burns.

I'd probably pick Hardwick or Bryant at 10 (if not FB or OW) and shift Worth to 15. He appears closer to the 1st XV and is more likely required as fullback cover with TV on the sidelines.

Definitely want to see more of Catchpole - he looked really sharp when he came on yesterday. Has he been ill/injured?

Is there any news at all on Crofty? I have no idea what's wrong with him.

Well, given that the chances of us winning the Premiership and/or the European Cup this season are pretty slim, I would certainly hope that we would see the AWC as an opportunity to win some silverware this year. Why not? I would also put out as many senior players as are available because they seem to need to practice their ball handling skills and tactical awareness in a game context rather than just in training at Oval Park. Tickets to A League games are free to season ticket holders so if you want to see them play, go to heir fixtures. I want to see a full blown effort from Tigers for every game that I have paid for.

In a nutshell 'Yes'. Granted it is the only silverware we have any remote hope of winning this season, but we can't afford any more injuries to key players.

I'd prefer to look at it as: give some young and fringe players the chance to shine. If we lose all 4 but unearth 2 or 3 Will Evans level talent then that is good enough for me. And for heaven's sake use the games to find us a legitimate number 8!!!
