Manu expected but astonished by the speed of Mike Williams recovery. Just hope they are not being rushed back to soon given their respective injury reoccurences.
Brilliant news if true - would make a huge difference to our team to have both back fully fit.
Manu even off the bench for 20 mins once they're a bit tired.. fingers crossed.

Mike - seems too soon - fingers also crossed.
cheers

+1 :smt038

Hope that they both stay fit and have a good run of games. Manu particularly will be match rusty, also hope he has been concentrating on maintaining a defensive line. Wonder if he may have a mini run out during the Anglo Welsh games to get some time on a pitch?

Indeed good news if it is true, but I can't believe Mike Williams will be back after only 6 weeks out, I broke my right arm when playing for my school team in 1961 at the age of 14 and it took me a full 7 months to recover. Granted Medical treatment has come a long way since then but all I can say is that it must have been a clean break just in one place and after initial treatment the bone must have started knitting together immediately. Please Mercury Sports Editor try and be truthful in your clippings and do not raise false hopes.

Every break is different thought isn't it? Depends on how clean it was, which bone it was, how quickly it heals, whereabouts the bone broke, the patient's muscle mass.... all sorts of things. It isn't as simple as "I broke my right arm so this must be the same for him."

No it's probably not as simple a he broke his arm 3 times in succession so being back that early would be surprising in the circumstances.

I'm pleasantly surprised too.

But I'm not a doctor and I haven't seen the x-rays.

it was a "disturbance" of the fracture is how he explained it to me - not serious or long term.....

Apparently, Mike Williams injury wasn't another break, but a problem around the hole where the screw had been. That would explain why his recovery has been a bit quicker than expected.

Good to see Manu back, and we must not push too hard, too soon. For me he should be no more than bench next week?
