Your on! Trouble is I think a lot of other chancers might dilute the jackpot.

The shirt numbers are relevant to the front row replacement players.....would not want to see uncontested scrums against Racing on Sunday

A nice bonus point win please. I'd probably take an ugly 9-6 win right now but if we are to be aiming to get out of this group after last weeks horror show then we may need a bit more than the bare minimum from now on. Racing have hardly been brilliant away this season and we must be due one of those magical European performances under lights that I still dream of from years gone by. 35-6 to theTigers will do nicely. :smt001

I fancy Leicester will win this match.
The odds on a French side being as poor at travelling away as Leicester were last Friday are strong and Racing don't seem to be feared at shutting sides out as much as they were last season.
Not that it'll matter much in the end as neither will win the competition.

Getting excited already!
Brave call having a hooker on the bench who's only played TH this season (although on form I'd probably take Bateman over Mulipola)! Also suspect your 23 would actually be Tait rather than Smith, as he'd offer 12/13/15 cover in a squad already containing 4 wingers. :smt001

Genge plays LH.
Good job I was referring to Greg Bateman at no 18 then! :smt003

I think we stand every chance of a good win but don't rely on the French team not turning up, they managed OK last year at the City Ground, Notts. My biggest fear is whether the good Tigers team turns up or not, it's all down to their mindset.

Of the team 'selected' so far they look good, we have a good squad (proper 8 excepted). The only suggestion is that Tait will start* somewhere in the team and swap positions as required rather than coming off the bench to plug any gaps.

Any win will do and in order of preferences for extras a win by more than 7pts, less than 4 tries to Racing and, obviously, 4 or more tries to us. Still think the lack of a LBP last week may well hurt in the end.

* I believe he has spent the summer working on his chammy techniques and now uses Simonize polish and a micro fibre polishing mitt, with extra coaching from Crane.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.

I agree about Tait GS. We need somebody in the centre to get over the gain line, Betham would be my choice, but if he is to play on the wing I would go with Smith or Roberts not Tait. Toomua is a great player but not a bosher.

I like the OP's 23 but would be tempted to start with Logo to give some real carrying early on, and would also start with Evans not O'Connor, he deserves a chance.

I'm hoping for a much improved performance and commitment to all aspects of the game: tackles, rucks/mauls, attacking play and controlling possession.
Also hoping for an amazing acknowledgement of Foley before and during the match.

Logo starting instead of Cole? Hmmm

I can understand the Evans suggestion - I think he's played above expectations whilst O'Connor has struggled at times.

I'd say O'Connor has struggled because the forwards as a whole have been pretty average in most of the matches.

Pound for pound, I am of the opinion that O'Connor is probably our best player. He starts for me, without question.

I agree; he's quick over the ball and it often seems like there's two of him on the pitch, he covers a lot of ground. Remember, it's hard to be an effective link player when the rest of the team are not going forward.
