Adam Thompstone
Anyone else think that Adam Thompstone has been one of our best signings? He is defensively dependable and skilful in finishing. Couple of really good try saving tackles again today against Wuss.
I'm not cynical just experienced

And a great turnover a couple of metres from the Tigers try line.

He's consistent, not flashy, does the basics well, is positionally very good and is quick enough. Definitely one of our better bits of business.

Agreed on all counts. He should play every week.

Absolutely 100% agreed. He has been a constant all round good guy for Tigers who simply gets the job done. Hope we do not see him head off to Sale or Exeter to join the other defectors.

Adam Thompstone's performances are worthy of the months Goldsmiths monthly award..RagingBull wrote:You say nothing flashy but that finish V sale was high end flashy.
Or have we lost that sponsor only to be replaced with a years supply of Omega3 tablets & a gallon of Cod Liver Oil from Holland & Barrett?

Doubt it he gets regular game time here TBH. Sale are fine for Wingers aswell.AlphaWiseOwl wrote:Absolutely 100% agreed. He has been a constant all round good guy for Tigers who simply gets the job done. Hope we do not see him head off to Sale or Exeter to join the other defectors.

Agreed. He arrived with a bang and has been consistent ever since (now in his fifth season). If he keeps fit and performing as he does he could well end up as one of our highest appearing wingers.tigercaspian wrote:Agreed on all counts. He should play every week.

A great purchase.
Feel he would actually be one of the solutions to fill that no 12 spot, if not, then 13
Reliable, could see him in the Sarries team, just gets the job done, no problems..

He's a Sarries type of player; hardworking, unfussy, gets the job done. Defensively a very canny player too.fortysix wrote:A great purchase.

Did he not play a couple of games at 13 two or three years ago during and injury crisis (or, as it is known, a normal period)?
Re: Adam Thompstone
He has been a fantastic player: strong defensively, very good catcher of the high ball, chases kicks, brilliant finisher. Should be the first name on the team sheet and is similar to Scott Hamilton in every aspect. Might be a good choice for captain! Heart and soul put into every game.
