Doubt it as the rand is in the sink too thanks to the King of Home Improvement , J. Zuma Esq.
If Etzebeth's got any sense, he's probably work out that playing full on rugby for 10/11 months of the year may not be good for him

Have just spent 2 solid weeks training/ playing at Johannesburg Country Club Auckland Park-------14 days all accomodation, meals x 3daily ---- all drinks plus washing kit 24/7 Cost ------- £600 all in. Unbelievable.
But it now makes SA players unaffordable....

Apparently Kurtley Beale was only on a one-year deal at Wasps - NOT two years with a break clause. Talks on his future to start when he's playing again. Chris Foy in the Mail thinks Cheika wants Beale to return home asap but situation fluid until he's playing, so he and Wasps can see if they want to extend deal.

Yes, apparently he had a year left on his contract and Bath made an offer 'they couldn't refuse'. http://www.bathchronicle.co.uk/bath-rug ... story.html
When you consider him and their other new signings from NZ, Robbie Fruean, Jack Wilson, and Paul Grant, (plus Darren Allison (loan)from Irish), and compare that to Tigers situation of not being able to afford further cover for Toomua, then it's another illustration of where the Club now stands in the new order of clubs owned by the super-rich sugar daddies.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
No it isn't. Bath's spending, within the salary cap (maybe), can only be compared to our spending within the salary cap (maybe) and Tigers, we have been informed, have spent up to the cap this season. I would agree, however, that not getting a replacement for Toomua, if solely down to a lack of money, does show that we have reached the top of our spending for now.MurphysLaw wrote:Yes, apparently he had a year left on his contract and Bath made an offer 'they couldn't refuse'. http://www.bathchronicle.co.uk/bath-rug ... story.htmlsapajo wrote:Ben Tapuai to join @BathRugby from Western Force #AvivaPrem
