Bjorn Basson is a classy operator would be interesting to see if he does..

As for Tapuai I feel Blackadder is going to splash the Brucey cash on all kinds of SH talent in the coming years..

Bloke has been stitched up like a kipper courtesy of the 'undercover' slime balls at the Telegraph.
I am never buying it again as a result .......
You mean........you bought it before????? :smt017
TBH there is not a paper worth buying these days. Almost everyone is run by somebody who
1 has a definite, usually ultra right wing political agenda (due to the owners being expat/non dom billionnaires like the Barclay Brothers)
2 is a consummate artist
3 actually doesn't have real reporters anymore (e.g. the Independent)and just regurgitates agency stuff (which itself is often taken from blogs)
4 have sacked most of the good reporters as well as some leaving in disgust (Mail, Express, Mirror, Telegraph, Times, Guardian Independent).
So are we surprised at a stitch-up? Destroying a career and inconveniencing an organisation is considered 'news'; reporting serious political fraud is not.
TBH Allardyce is a prat, BUT.....
Rant over. :smt004
You could try the Morning Star................... :smt004 (my old news agent in Narborough refused to get it for me years ago lol)

D'ya know, the Mornng Star is rather boring. I started going out with a girl like that once, but regular lectures on 'sex as a political act' failed to become regular. :smt004
Back on topic..........I expect Bath to undergo considerable convulsions this season as Blackadder follows Brucie's 'cunning plan' to buy another team.

Interesting article by Gavin Mortimer on why Jake White’s approach was his downfall at Montpellier...

"...stubbornness and vanity got the better of him".....two crimes which our current DoR , if he ever suffered from them (and he may have admitted to the first in his early years as DoR), is now cleansed of.
Therefore why on earth would we need JW when his main tactic seems to be ignore the locals and hire a load of second-string Saffas?

Have not bought the Telegraph today : one day in, campaign going well! Nor the Morning Star, either. It's a middle-of-the-protest I suppose .......

Our loss.

Jake White - no way.

Also I have joined Tigercaspian and not only not bought the DT or MS, but also purged my bookmarks of their presence. :smt023

Rugby Inside Line report: Toulon are now seeking to sign Chris Ashton from Saracens. Could be an indication that international career is over.

If true, I wonder if Cashton will bite?

Sorry.

With Hargreaves retiring it seems Saracens haven't taken long to tee up a cheap South African replacement. Some chap called Eben Etzebeth apparently.

An injury dispensation one presumes. The accounting reality is probably different!

Did not know injury dispensation could possibly cover his price tag. That said, I remain convinced that Saracens have the most creative accountant in world rugby.

Fissler reports he will be an injury replacement for Hargreaves so won't be counted on the salary cap and that he is staying until February.
