Lyon put the breaks on:
It was recently reported that Gloucester had done some shrewd business picking up Lyon's talismanic number 8, Carl Fearns.
Rumour has it Lyon have seen the error in their ways...
Lets hope this is true so we can nip in and take him next year.

Sergio Parisse of Stade Français could be on his way to Glaws and team mate Morne Steyn to Wuss.
For the moment, there's no confirmation or otherwise about Carl Fearns's move from Lyon to Glaws.

Why would Gloucester want Morne Steyn?Robespierre wrote:Sergio Parisse of Stade Français could be on his way to Glaws and team mate Morne Steyn to Wuss.

This story is picking up pace. Gavin Mortimer (quoting Midi olympique) say Lyon have convinced him to stay.strawclearer wrote:Nothing on Shedweb so either they don't know yet or they think it's drivel..?BIttySmalls wrote:Rumour that Lyon are stopping the Carl Fearns to Glaws transfer: -

From PlanetRugby:
Wales and Toulon full-back Leigh Halfpenny has been linked with a move to Premiership side Bath ahead of the 2018/2019 season.
According to The Times, Halfpenny visited Bath’s training base last Monday.
The 28-year-old had been in talks to return to Wales this year with Cardiff Blues on a NDC (National Dual Contract) ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup, for a reported £420,000 per season.
Those talks however have fallen through according to The Times over Halfpenny’s request for his two-year contract to be extended to cover the months taken up by the Rugby World Cup.
Halfpenny joined Toulon from the Blues back in 2014 and is now understood to be set for a fourth campaign with the three-time European champions, on a reported salary of £750,000.

Not only have Bath got our fav. Freddie Burns there for 2017/18 but have just signed 25 year old Josh Lewis ex Scarlets fly half from Ebbw Vale, (Shame we never saw him!) see - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/39418614Dr H Flashman MBE wrote:Halfpenny was seen at the Rec in Bath today.... more fuel to that fire..
Competition for Freddie and more so if Halfpenny comes too.
