Quite right, and little Evans has hardly played since!
Australian international second-row Will Skelton has joined Saracens on a short-term deal, the Premiership champions announced on Tuesday.
The Allianz Park side confirmed that the lock will join the club from Super Rugby side the Waratahs with immediate effect. His arrival will bolster Saracens' second-row options after the recent retirement of Alistair Hargreaves.
Guessing we might be seeing him shortly!
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

Something something salary cap something something.
Alright, it's probably within the now monster salary cap and probably injury dispensation but we just can't afford to compete within this environment.
Even though I do not question the legality around it is still hard to take as you said we just cannot compete within this environment...and that is the difference if you look at all the trophy winners here and in France for the last few years..bar the Stade surge (hardly a poor team then though) it has been all about the billy big bucks and their barrells of cash taking home the trophies..that is modern Rugby unfortunately
Liam Williams to Sarries confirmed on BBC Website.
Three year contract, previously reported as £300k p.a.
Hard for us to compete at that level, but I would guess it's pretty much a like-for-like replacement, moneywise, for Ashton.
Sarries full back options aren't half bad - Goode, Maitland, Wyles (at a push), and now Williams.

Williams also assigned squad number 412.....
SPIKE
It's not the winning or losing but the taking apart which matters.
On paper Gloucester have a good squad already. On the pitch it seems to be a more variable matter. Good signing but they need to play better for it to make any difference. Sounds familiar for several teams currently. I hope it is in the past for Tigers now
I suspect we weren't in the market for Rapava-Ruskin this time. Last season, maybe. With the emergence of Genge it wouldn't be worth the outlay to prise him out of Worcester's hands.

That's some back row options they have: -
Faletau, Zak Mercer, Louw, Denton, Garvey, Underhill to name but a few.
