Unbelievable!ellis9 wrote:There's been no bullying mentioned at all. You can't just say people have been bullied when they haven't?
About 20 Tigers players went in to McDonald's and there was a long queue. They got bored of waiting so some of them went behind the counter and got some food. The police turned up and the players realised they had gone too far so paid for the food that they took and moved on. McDonald's aren't pressing charges so it's been dealt with.
Where is the bullying in there?
Read your own comment and then look up the definition of bully, and then think about it for a while, hope this helps!

No, I still can't see where the bullying is.
Perhaps you are referring the the 21st century nanny state type of bullying? That makes more sense then but what has happened here is not bullying in the very true sense of the word.

Re: Late night disturbance
Bullying is usually more systematic and ongoing. What happened here appears to be more opportunistic and unpremeditated. That said, I think most people who have had to work behind a bar or counter, would appreciate how intimidating this could be to the staff there.ellis9 wrote:No, I still can't see where the bullying is.

Re: Late night disturbance
You do have to wonder about the culture towards conditioning at the club. In the end they are pro athletes who have just had their holidays and off season and now they are in their peak conditioning period for the season ahead. You cannot be out until that time, drinking and eating rubbish, travel home and be in the right condition to train on the Monday. It's quite odd really.fortysix wrote:The players involved should be made to sit in a Mc Donalds all day as a punishment...

Re: Late night disturbance
After a match, eating food like that is ok. I remember after winning the edf cup at Twickenham, the players went to a service station and brought loads of ice cream and food. A long as they don't it eat it regularly, it does no harm.

Indeed, as is your preference to attempt to target me instead of the poor behaviour on this subject!jgriffin wrote:Thus a yardstick to assess your comments by.The Boy Dave wrote:You will have a long wait, fortunately I do match by match these days.jgriffin wrote:I await the photo of TBD's letter, returning his ST.

Hissy fit, TBD. I was merely drawing attention to your hyperbolic statement about abandoning what you paint as your chosen club over a minor incident. I have always assumed you are a dedicated fan.

Re: Late night disturbance
I think which ever way you look at this, a bit of fun by players, an overreaction by the staff and police, an embarrassment to the club, they were wrong in doing what they allegedly did. I am glad that there were no arrests, disappointed that the press have made a 'meal' of it, but my concern is with that for the staff. It cannot be great being with 20 odd rugby players deciding to help themselves, and if it were footballers doing the same, we would be up in arms.
They are reasonably well paid representatives of our club and we should expect better. It isn't the old days of 'What goes on tour, stays on tour', mobile phones and social media have put paid to that.
