Post by Doghashadhisday »

I know its been mentioned on another thread but the new stand is to be renamed The Robin Hood Stand so the question is how soon before we become the Nottingham Tigers?

Pointless thread.

The new stand is called the Robin Hood Stand.

We will never be called Nottingham Tigers.

Although I have major reservations about the new name, it does hand us a song that everyone can sing. Those of us that remember Richard Greene as the eponymous 'hero' from the mid-fifties/early sixties' television show will, almost certainly remember the signature song:
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen;
Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men;
Feared by the bad;
Loved by the good;
Robin Hood;
Robin Hood;
Robin Hood.

I remember the single by Dick James, produced by the great Sir George Martin, and the B side was 'Davy Crocket', I think.

Got to laugh, and why not, things often so serious.
If Sarries can wear those silly hats and all!
I'm sure some would prefer the Welford Square or The Straight Line Club but nothing wrong with a bit of fun!

I think we should have a Tigers orientated version of the song.

Here's one to get us started:

Telusa, Telusa off he goes again
Telusa, Telusa beating several men
Feared by the Saints
Loved by the fans
Telusa, Telusa, Telusa.

:smt035 :smt035 :smt035

Any suggestions?

I like it, and it scans quite well. Mathew Tait would fit the rhythm even better or Matt Toomua slightly less so.

Nottingham Tigers? Is this a new club? I thought that their were moves underfoot to rename Nottingham the Nottingham sheriffs so that when they play their annual cricket match against Nottingham Outlaws we can finally resolve the question fictitious though it may be. Did the Sherriff ever catch Robin Hood?

If you change Telusa to the phonetic Vy-an-u, it works better...

Oldhob, someone asked a question, presumably as they wanted an answer. I answered it.

Yes, I realise it was probably a tongue in cheek question but when I see questions like that, I like to answer them as if they were asked seriously.

Also, yes I am fun to go out with. :smt023

Jgriffin, what the hell is grindr?!
