I think some clubs will suffer a reaction early season to the Lions tour.
1. Leicester Tigers. ( I agree this may be blind optimism)
2.Wasps.
3.Bath
4.Saracens.
5. Exeter.
6.Newcastle.
7. Sale
8. Northampton
9.Worcester
10.Harlequins
11. Gloucester.
12. London Irish

Big shout on Gloucester. The more I think of it, you might not be far wrong.
It just seems that they go into every season with the attitude of "that's it, this time we've nailed it. I know we said we'd nailed it last season but this time we really have." This season, I think their fans are beginning to realise that actually the Emperor is in the buff. The whole saga with the potential new owners that turned out not to be, the whole saga of Carl Fearns' signing that proved not to be, losing Laidlaw... I can see despair setting in.

Losing Laidlaw will speed their game up ! The problem is that Ackerman won't be there until the Lions Super Rugby business is over and he won't have had a clear pre-season and training period, so will be on the back foot.
